Evening Classes at CYCL

CYCL offers four levels of chess classes:

Introductory: This class is designed for the student who has never played chess, or has had very little chess experience.

Beginner:  For players who know how to play but have not had much chess instruction and need a good foundation of the basic strategies in openings, endgames, and tactical ideas.

Intermediate:  These players routinely out perform beginners, can easily find most one move checkmate problems, and have a good sense of opening and endgame ideas.

Advanced:  A very challenging class for the mature chess player.

Mike Zaloznyy

Mike Zaloznyy teaches the Friday night Advanced class. He is a USCF Expert, but recent tournament results will push him even closer to the Master title! He is a senior at UCLA.

Mark Reeve
